Your MyECC Student Email Address & Phone Number Are Critical!

The Financial Aid Office uses email as our primary communication tool. Please check your El Camino College email address frequently so that you do not miss critical information. We encourage you to update your phone number and address with the Admission & Records Office as they are the official record keeper for the college. The college deletes emails older than 180 days. 

2011-2012 California Real Estate Endowment Fund Scholarship Program - AVAILABLE NOW!!!

The scholarship application period is set for September 8, 2011-March 15, 2012, by which students must submit their Real Estate Scholarship Application to their local college Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Office must determine eligibility and forward the Real Estate Scholarship Invoice to the Chancellor’s Office to be received by March 31, 2012. Additionally, each college will be limited to recommending the awarding of no more than eight (8) Real Estate Scholarship recipients.

Due to the limited amount available for the 2011-2012 academic year, please be advised that the Chancellor’s Office will fund the Real Estate Scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis.

Financial Aid Awards Posted under MyECC (Tentative Schedule for Fall 2011 & Spring 2012)

All financial aid awards posted under MyECC are estimated awards. Most federal and state financial aid payments made to students are based upon cumulative satisfactory academic performance. Please review the satisfactory academic progress (SAP) standards and summer policies section in our Financial Aid Handbook. Please refer to the estimated timeline below for other important information.

Spring 2012 Financial Aid Appeals Committee begins meeting February 2012
Financial Aid Office performs SAP calculations on available Fall 2011 grades Jan-Feb 2012
Financial Aid Office notifies Fall students not eligible for Spring 2012 payments beginning Jan-Feb 2012

Degree Program Required

Federal regulations require all students that apply for financial aid to be enrolled in a degree program such as an A.A./ A.S. / Transfer or Certificate of Competence or Completion in order to receive financial aid payments. If you are not in an academic program, please visit the Admission & Records Office immediately to update your admission application on the campus computer system. Financial aid students cannot have an undeclared major.

Student User-ID & Passwords:

The Student User-ID is formatted usually as First Name_Last Name except in cases where there may be two persons with the same name. In same name cases there is usually a number after the last name. The password is initially set to the last four digits of the student's social security number unless it was reset by the student in MyECC.
